September 8, 2018
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Shelbyville Middle School
1200 W McKay St
Shelbyville IN 46176
Event registration and exhibits will be located in the lower gymnasium and cafetorium. Please enter at the cafetorium doors.
Attend the Inspiring Abilities Expo where vendors of all kinds will provide information about products, services and programs that can help improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities and mental health needs and their families. This event is open house style, so come and go as your schedule allows. Take your time browsing the exhibit hall and talk with providers about your child and how their services might meet your needs. Teachers, service providers, and all those involved in the care of children with special needs are welcome at this event!
Exhibits will be open from 9 to noon. At 10 am Gordon Homes of MassMutual Special Care will do a presentation in the Cafetorium about planning for the financial future for your loved one with a disability in order to preserve their eligibility for public benefits. Families may sign up for a free consultation with Gordon as a follow up to his presentation or visiting his exhibit table.
Families can also get assistance applying for the Medicaid Waiver at the exhibit table for the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities! Applications will be available on site. Parental income is waived for children under 18 applying for the Medicaid Waiver, so parents at all income levels should learn about the waiver and the potential services available to their child if they are eligible.
Please register for the Inspiring Abilities Expo so vendors can plan enough materials for all those attending.
