One of the scariest times for families of children with disabilities is the transition from school to work. Most families are unaware of the services available to help their children with a job search, and if they do know where to get help they are often not educated about the process or what is expected of all the parties involved. Angela Vandersteen of Tanagram Business Resourcing will present on what to expect when beginning a job search, reviewing information on what services are available, explaining what everyone’s role is in the process, and providing helpful tools and resources that will help families and individuals with disabilities be stronger advocates during the job search. She will also showcase TBR’s Workforce Accelerator, a unique job matching database designed to match job seekers with disabilities to positions at companies that are disability inclusive.
